QMT Asks Patrons to Donate School Supplies During Mame

Local migrant and homeless children are about to benefit from the generosity of QMT and the audiences attending Mame.  All audience members, as well as the cast and crew of Mame, are being asked to bring a donation of school supplies, new or gently used children's books,  or a cash donation for the Pandhandle Area Educational Consortium (PAEC) for it's summer school program.

PAEC works in 17 panhandle counties, and particularly in Gadsden, to offer classes and tutoring for migrant children and local homeless children in connection with the Homeless Program of Gadsden County .  Directed by Maria Pouncy, migrant coordinator, the education program offers a plethora of educational support for students, as well as extracurricular activities like Mexican dancing.  The students they serve come from every race and ethnic background.

Please remember to come to Latino Fest, Quincy Style, Friday night, May 2 at the courthouse in Quincy for a wonderful introduction to Latin culture and fun!

And we hope to see all of you at Mame -- April 11-13, and April 18-20, or at the special benefit performance for the Big Band Hospice, Thursday, April 10.

QMT is donating tickets to PAEC for this special performance so some of the top students can have a chance to experience live theater.
